I am a big fan of RSS feeds. I love having content delivered to me fresh and ready to read. I use Google’s Reader since it ties in nicely with my favorite email. At any given time I have more than 1,000 articles in areas of interest to me waiting to be read. That can be overwhelming and sometimes I don’t want to hunt for content. I want to be amused, enlightened or encouraged by content without having to do the hard work of clicking and reading. Enter Google Play.
1. Make sure you have an hour to kill
2. Clear your browser tabs
Basically, Google Play calculates your interests in Reader and puts up interesting tidbits from articles that might interest you in a slideshow format. You can chuckle and move on or click through to find out more. It’s a fun service and I hope Google never gives up on it.
